FretFixxer is the only non-destructive Fret Spot Leveling and Crown Tool.
Beware: StewMac Fret Kisser and Music Nomad U-File are both flat files that flatten/destroy the fret crown, instead of into the radius they are supposed to be.

Nut Slot Gauge
It's really a pain in the ass to use feeler gauges to get the depth of the nut slot right, and using those 19th century tools and methods more often than not end up with you having to start over with a new nut.
Say good-bye to 19th Century nonsense and ruined nuts.
We live in the 21st Century where we have easier to use tools that give us precise tolerances without all the hassle of old archaic tools.
The future is now.
Measure Frets on Guitar
Fret Forensics - Precision work always begins with Precision measurements.
The digital gauges having the brass base block used for measuring nut slots - the brass block is 16" radius, not ideal for the 10 other fretboard radii, and the configuration is not intended for measuring frets.
Our Digital Gauge Radius Blocks use the same gauge, and matches the exact radius of the fretboard with the configuration intended for precision measuring frets.
Knowing exactly what is going with your frets beforehand will save you from disaster.

Measure Loose Frets - Huge rewards to you...
You need to replace your frets... and doing this the traditional way adds a lot of unnecessary work; fret leveling to be specific.
Skip the leveling work, buy two packs of frets instead of one, measure every fret left right center and cherry pick those that fall within +/- .0005" across each fret and every fret.
You won't have to level these frets, and you'll have beautifully symmetrically level frets that give you the easiest fastest play, the best intonation, deepest bends, sustain for days. frets like you have never had before, a playing experience you have never had before, intonation and voice your guitar never gave you before.
All you need to do is have and use the right tool for the job, and save yourself tons of grief, time and work.
What's causing the problem?
There are a lot of reasons for fret buzz.
Sharp or flat intonation, there's not just once possible cause for this.
String Ping &/or String Rattle, there's not just one possible cause for this.
Ear crunching distortion, there's not just one reason for this.
Assuming it is one thing just because you read it on google or saw it on some half baked YouTuber, or listened to a pretentious friend or acquaintance...
Or, and this is true more often that you might ever imagine, you take the word of a luthier or guitar tech, a shop, because you have not made the effort to learn a few things before assuming the shop guy is going to be straight with you.
These are all very bad ideas that make you vulnerable to paying for work that is not needed, and paying too much for work that is needed.
You invested years into playing guitar, so why not invest a little time to learn how a guitar really works, and with this knowledge you will then take real ownership of your guitar.
